Enact big tax cuts.. Then a few years later they can't pay for anything.. Then to get cash, they cut medicare/medicaid/aid to the poor and the rich get away scot free.. Reagan raised taxes but they conveniently forgot that.. Kansas cut taxes big time and got into lots of financial problems. Cut $$ to schools to pay for infrastructure if I remember correctly..
Cost to the wealthy Kansan's? not so much.

One reason was to pass tax cuts. The other was to fund the Iraq war, Haliburton, etc.

That and trickle down all that matters though when reasoning for large scale cost cuts. Its a con.

Exactly right. Its the same boring strategy since Reagan, with roots back at least 70 years.
