2. If Newtown didn't change the laws, nothing will

When five and six year old children are massacred and nothing is done, don't expect anything to change. Not as long as Republicans run the government.

The barbarians are no longer at the gates. They're in every room in the house.

Who saw this shooting as a "nothing burger". And now theyr'e going after Vegas, and soon they'll go after Texas. Until we change laws on this sort of thing, expect that to remain the same every mass shooting. And that probably won't happen either. Fuck conspiracy theorists.

4. I guess the Repub/NRA Plan is to have mass killings on a regular basis.

That way, the killings overlap each other, so it’s always “too soon to talk about gun control.”

Their plan seems to be working out, no?

Over and over again on network TV, the word I've heard used to describe people's reaction to this latest slaughter is "numb."

That's exactly what the NRA wants: the numbing-down of America. And they will strive to maintain it through RepubliCONs and their megaphones (Fux Noise, talk radio, alt-right websites).

To overcome this, we need to follow Ted Lieu's example: Fuck moments of silence. Thoughts and prayers clearly aren't working here. We need to mobilize: starting right-fucking-now, we must get people registered -- or re-registered if they've been disenfranchised by election officials -- and, you guessed it, GET OUT THE VOTE.

Otherwise, the blood of future mass shooting victims is on our hands as well.

These murders are coming so fast and often they almost overlap now.

The corporate media has moved-along, and wants us to do likewise.

And besides, there was at least one "good guy with a gun" to deliver street justice. Unless, of course, you take into account the law enforcement dilemma of sorting out which shooters were "good guys" and which one was the baddie. Details, details.
