Or next to nothing will get passed. Not enough votes for bans, universal background checks or even raising the age from 18 to 21 to buy a rifle from a dealer. Also absolutely no support for banning possession to anyone under 21.

I see the only thing that could sail through would be strengthening the background check system. Making easier to get someone committed and I would love to have the mental asylums opened back up to get the mentally ill out of society and get them the help they need.

I think we need to start there then build on that over time because if we overreach we get nothing and we stay with the mess we have, unacceptable!
