Hannity vs. Maddow? I Honestly Don't Understand Why ANYBODY Would Watch Hannity.

Are Sean Hannity and Rachel Maddow still running back to back in the same time slot? And if so, how do their audiences stack up?

I ask, because I honestly don't know why ANYBODY, regardless of ideology or bias, would watch Hannity over Maddow. Even 'conservatives' who HATE Maddow would be ENTERTAINED by her show.

Trump is giving us SO MANY SCANDALS that Rachel has at least THREE OR FOR different scandals to cover EVERY NIGHT! Her show is 100% NEW MATERIAL every time! Hannity, on the other hand, goes on night after night, and just BARKS the same three or four talking points every single time.

I understand that there is a core group of Fox viewers who have been CLASSICALLY CONDITIONED to SALIVATE like a bunch of f-ing PAVLOVIAN DOGS everytime he shouts "URANIUM ONE!" or "HILLARY'S EMAIL SERVER" or "The CLINTON-BOUGHT-AND-PAID-FOR, FAKE DOSSIER, FULL OF RUSSIAN LIES!" (He actually says that phrase, at least ten times per show. EVERY show. That one not only makes his audience salivate, but also have an orgasm.) But you'd think even the STUPIDEST people would get tired of having the same buttons pushed over and over again.


Here's a typical Hannity monologue:

"Blah blah blah...URANIUM ONE....blah blah...HILLARY CLINTON...blah blah... MOM-AND-POP EMAIL SERVER...blah blah...SID BLUMENTHAL...blah blah...FAKE, DESTROY TRUMP NEWS MEDIA...blah blah...little PIPSQUEAK Brian Stelter...blah blah....TRUMP-HATING FBI AGENT PETER STRZOK..blah blah....CLINTON BOUGHT AND PAID FOR PHONY DOSSIER FULL OF RUSSIAN LIES...blah blah...DEEP STATE CONSPIRACY...blah blah...did I mention that I do a MARTIAL ARTS workout...?"

Then he'll bring in 'Lawyer' Gregg Jarret to list all the laws that Hillary Clinton has allegedly broken..., and follow it up with Sebastian 'Dr. No PhD' Gorka to roll some RRRs with his baritone faux English-Hungarian accent (again, that one makes Hannity's audience have an orgasm). "Lock herrrr up! STrrrrrING herrrr up!"

Then Hannity will usually run a couple of clips of Rachel Maddow saying something. I wonder if he realizes that, if he does that enough, there's a danger that his audience will wonder about all the things Fox News is NOT covering, and change the channel? Definitely something for them to be worried about.

The only way Fox News viewers knew Sam Numberg went nuts on all the OTHER television stations a couple of days ago, was because Hannity showed clips of the other networks interviewing him, and claimed it was disgraceful for the other networks to 'take advantage' of a drunk, disturbed man. HAH! They wouldn't have even KNOWN about the guy if you hadn't done that, dumbass!

The only way Fox News viewers knew that Trump paid a porno movie star $130,000 to shut up was because Hannity showed clips of the other networks 'exploiting' it.

I've got some advice for you, Sean: STOP SHOWING CLIPS of the other networks! Sooner or later your audience might realize there's a whole lot of juicy stuff that your propaganda network isn't covering.

2. He's not the master. He's just the BAILIFF of the Manor.

The lords of the manor are sitting in their drawing room smoking cigars and drinking Port, while their bailiffs (Fox News, Hannity, Limbaugh etc.) are whipping their peasant serfs into doing their bidding...

6. Hannity is a court jester for The Masters.

He's actually dressed in motley with little bells on his jester's hat, but they use digital effects to make it look like a suit and tiewhen he's on air.

3. Hannity really shows clips of Rachel? What a mature, secure grown up professional he sounds like.

As for his audience never growing tired of having the same buttons pushed: At first I too thought that sounded like something a person (even an intensely stupid person) would tire of eventually.

But then I thought about all the "impeachment porn" I've been consuming online and via cable TV, for at least a year now.

However, Democratic "scandals" rarely if ever amount to anything, in recent memory anyway. In the current administration, indictments happen with gleeful, life-affirming regularity. Do right-wingers simply have a limited number of buzzwords they need to re-hear to keep their hate glowing, even if nothing ever happens?

4. Impeachment Porn

That is one term you can use to describe the talking heads we have been forced to watch. CNN has one hundred different opinions on every issue in this Russia investigation and they will broadcast them all throughout the day. NBC, MSNBC gives their take on them. ABC, CBS much of the same. Faux News is hell bent on disseminating their own brand of what they call news. This is why I have to keep a barf bag close by when I am watching TV.

college-educated liberals. And people with well-paying jobs.
