I’ve posted it here before — in response to others’ comments. It’s nice to view it again and heed his words.

I have a good sturdy pitchfork at home, and will have it ready for just such an occasion. My only question:
Should I keep the tines really sharp and clean, for maximum penetration? Or dull and dirty, for greater cellular damage and organism-dispersal.
(In my compost container, of course!)
