(4,407 posts)Which is yet to be seen in this case. I agree that had he been Muslim, the press would have jumped to that term by now. But there is still a lot of questions in my mind around that term, who is a terrorist and who is better described as a mass murderer? Pulse nightclub? Vegas Massacre? MSDHS? DC Snipers -- which ones are terrorists?

(7,394 posts)I am not sure I agree that terrorism has to be only motivated by a political agenda. Self-aggrandizement, hate crimes, whatever, terror is created by the actions. But I don't mean to get into semantics and your point is well taken.
I would just call them all hate crimes.

Conditt gave his opinion opposing same-sex marriage and free abortions while he supported the death penalty and eliminating sex offender registries.
All of these things point to a very Right-Wing, Conservative Christian person. Not surprising, since he was home-schooled.
Given all that. He's not a Christian Terrorist. Lord no. He was just a poor, confused, young white boy. So sad.
Basically, he's a part of their club so he can't be a terrorist.

If the current right wing logic is carried forward, that's what you get, anyway.
