4. First things first

As a Floridian, I’m much more concerned about keeping Bill Nelson seated in the Senate, as opposed to allowing Gov. Skeletor to slide from his term-limited job in Tallahassee into the other Senatorial seat “representing” me and other progressives here in the Sunshine State.

To be clear, I don’t agree with or endorse everything that Nelson has done or how he’s voted. However, the prospect of having an unindicted Medicare robber take over his seat is beyond the pale.

I’ll bet next month’s mortgage payment that the real reason Gov. Snott advocated the marginal gun reform legislation here after what happened in Parkland— on his watch — is a shameless move to curry support from moderates in this state. Who are legion.

And I have no doubt that the NRA gave him a wink and a nod, knowing that if he made it to the Senate, they’d own his ass. Lock, stock and barrel.

Rubio is a distraction. Focus on the more imminent threat!
