First of all, Fox and their featured players and their followers are been spitting into the well from which decency is drawn for ages. With the Goldenshower Age of Trump, they have been adding arsenic to that well in ever increasing amounts.

As for comedy, as long as those in power are mere caricatures of actual human persons, comedy will live a long, albeit, dark life.

Right now, the comedy climate is like a never ending zombie invasion. Those lacking in compassion and character walk out with arms stretched forth in their quest for money and power and comedians keep picking them off with zingers and roasting fires and scathing wit.

Then, Fox and the other forces propping up the zombie hordes cry foul. But it's all perfectly "decent" when the zombies feed on our flesh.
