Another historical event in 1960 that I remember was the capture of Adolf Eichmann in Argentina, the major Nazi war criminal and chief SS officer in charge of transporting Jews and Roma to concentration camps per The Final Solution. Eichmann was taken by Israeli agents to Israel for trial and conviction which was televised. ~ These historical influences and Anne Frank's diary formed my first knowledge of the Nazis & the Second World War.

The Adolf Eichmann Trial in Jerusalem 1961. Eichmann testified from a bullet proof glass booth, was convicted of war crimes in May 1961 and executed by hanging in 1962.

that featured Anna Franks stepsister, I believe her name was Eva or something like that. Her mother had married Anna Franks father after he was freed from the concentration camp. Anna's father was the only member of the family that survived. Anyway, I took note that she (Eva) outright said that Trump and his campaign very much reminded her of Hitler and his rise in Germany. She feared for what would happen in America if he became president. The country would go down the same path as Germany did. She was right on the money.

The Goebbels children were the five daughters and one son born to Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels and his wife Magda Goebbels. The children, born between 1932 and 1940, were murdered by their parents in Berlin on 1 May 1945, the day both parents committed suicide.
Magda Goebbels had an older son, Harald Quandt, from a previous marriage to Günther Quandt. Then aged 23, he was not present when his younger half-siblings were killed. *Harold was added to the family portrait later, posed in uniform in the back. According to one account, Goebbels shot Magda and then himself. Another account was that they each bit on a cyanide ampule and were given a coup de grâce immediately afterwards. Goebbels' SS adjutant Günther Schwägermann testified in 1948 that they walked ahead of him up the stairs and out into the Chancellery garden. He waited in the stairwell and heard the shots sound. Schwägermann then walked up the remaining stairs and, once outside, saw their lifeless bodies. Following Goebbels' prior order, Schwägermann had an SS soldier fire several shots into his body, which did not move.
