"Impeaching Trump could backfire on Democrats"? It would infuriate, and then consolidated his base. Oh gees, then guess Mueller should then just quit because that might also upset the knuckle dragging rethugs?Justice means nothing?
If that's true, then damn everything is hopeless.

He's preaching compliance. That's exactly what we and the press must not do. We cannot let the greedy wealthy and the know-nothings end what little threads we have left of our democracy. Stay tough and fight, we must.
