Inspired in part by a brief commentary from Bill Moyers in which he writes “America’s corporate and political elites now form a regime of their own, and they are privatizing democracy. All the benefits — the tax cuts, policies, and rewards — flow in one direction: up.”

Thanks for the "like" zeemike. Much appreciated. But in the interest of clarity, "The cost FLOWS down, and the money flows up". Unfortunately, costs never seem to go down.

3. I understood it differently.

the cost (of labor) goes down and the money flows up...but it works the same way.

I see your thinking. Indeed works both ways, and tells the same story. Perhaps a lesson in there... how people can be enriched when they listen to those with a different perspective.
