1. Trump has been able to wangle out of everything up to now. Why should this be different?

Well, of course we all know how this is different but I'll bet Trump doesn't realize that.
I'll bet that he will keep on his merry way figuring he will be okay somehow.
Heck, he even has Pence to pardon him if he doesn't escape.

2. Mike Pence may be on Mueller's list too.

Being that he was Chair of the Transition team, he HAD to know all the goings on taking place. Who met with who, being in on meetings, choosing staff, etc. Pence is no innocent in this matter. He is up to his eyeballs in shit I do not think he even realized would become public.

A pardon of Trump will be an albatross around Pence's neck like it was for Gerald Ford. History not learned here.

3. A comprehensive plea deal where Individual-1 dies in prison?

Otherwise, fuck off, Painter. Ethics? George W. Bush?

4. Why should Republicans be allowed to resign

When Democrats get impeached for sex?

If this happens then we have learned nothing as a country and we have allowed republicans to get away with it AGAIN.
Remember, Nixon was trying to fix a election and lied to us.
Trump allowed an election to be fixed and he, his family and others took part in that.
He and his family are getting rich at the expense of the American people.

5. This is exactly what happened with VP Agnew. Listen to Bag Man podcast by Rachel.

Congress needs to do an evaluation of how long it would take to impeach and convict him. I frankly don't see how it could happen within one year. Weigh that against how much damage Trump can do in that amount of time.

It's like when you fire an employee, you immediately cut off their access to the office and computers because of the damage they could do. With Trump, I am confident he would do damage to the country if he knew he was going to be impeached.

Like all of you, I want to see him in jail. I don't like the idea of a plea AT ALL. But, I also want rid of him. And Pence. Maybe we give the deal to Pence (I don't care about prison for him, yes, I'd like to see it but still) and make Trump resign like Nixon, sans deal.

Or we leave Pence in and scuff him up a bit so he can't be reelected. Remember Nixon picked Ford who won election on his own. I don't want Trump to pick and "acceptable" republican who could win in 2020.
