People do work hard and save for things NECESSARY in life. When I saw she uses a walker I was more than impressed. I don't know if I could have done that.

"He was drunk and thought he was in an Uber." Maybe, he was not trying to steal the car. Maybe, he will get help for his alcohol usage now.

I've never used Uber. Do the customers usually ride in the driver's seat?

I suppose she's lucky he wasn't drunk and decked her. But she went into a rage, she says, so she didn't have a choice, really.

It's a shame those deadbeats try to steal what working people have worked hard to get. I hope he goes to jail and not just let back on the streets again.

Not that it would make it alright for someone to get in, but if the guy was that drunk, he could “make a story” (that doesn’t even make sense). If he broke in, then he’s fook’d.

I always lock my vehicles, but there have been a few nights where I forgot or didn’t realize it was unlocked when I went to bed. Low and behold, someone rifled through my car and not sure if they even stole anything; but sometimes it’s just stupid kids or vagrants doing mischief or out for easy money.

My daughter had a boyfriend who had his car broken into at least three times when they were dating, and he would leave his CD’s laying out on the seat, etc, inviting a break in. That’s the world we live in. Portland Oregon has THOUSANDS of people living on the streets, in tents and lean-to’s all over the city. Many are drug addicts and/or mentally sick souls. Most would take whatever they can get. Our off ramps are plagued with beggars at everyone....often working daily shifts. Our society is very sick right now...very sick.

This is not the first time someone has been victimized and it will not be the last. It is a shining example to all of those jerks out there to stay away from any mother ( or father for that matter ) watching over their children. You are going to get way more than you bargained for if you mess with them. And that Uber excuse, it makes for a good laugh in the court room proceeding.
