I was not supposed to click the link tag.
All I had to do was copy & paste the actual http link itself. Straight from the address bar.
Simpler than I thought.

There is no comparison. Our First Lady is inspirational, passionate and true. She is the definition of a real woman.

And, our VP. Look at the pride and love on his face as she speaks.

Thank you.

I said to myself "I wonder how Michelle sounded when she did her speech before Barack got elected"
So I put them side by side for comparison.

Michelle came from a real place when she said what she said.
She's been where a lot of people have been.
She came from struggle & respects it.

Ultimately it's her that keeps me believing in him.
When I doubt Barack all I have to do is look at Michelle.

the struggle of those who have gone before...to going forward without
fear, but with hope to accomplish our dreams.

What a difference from the Repubs who all want to crow about how as individuals
they've done everything without help from anyone.

while Anne Romney just talked about her and Mitt. Talk about one lady getting it and one not having a clue.

And when Michelle becomes inclusive it's not an act.
She wasn't born on an Ivory Tower.
Her dad had a 9 to 5 every day & her mom worked one as well.
She didn't have a summer home & didn't have a pool house.
She didn't have high & mighty connections to get the positions she got.
She earned all of her accolades by studying & doing well enough in school to get scholarships.
She had to get student loans at 18 & paid on them all the way through her 40s.

All through her life she has had experience with poor people, "middle class" people, & rich people.
The powerful & the powerless.
She has seen many walks of life so it's not hard for her to be inclusive & able to relate to many people's struggles.
She keeps it real & that is her strength.

Apparently they aren't CEO's, business women, scientists, school teachers, entrepreneurs, doctors and nurses, secretaries of state, etc. Nope, according to ann, women are only people in relationship to other people.

Even though it was 4 years old, Michelle's speech was still very moving.

I think Michelle could give a GREAT speech this year just by reading that same speech again. It's a great speech, period.

And your observation of Ann's speech, very true, very limited about women as well.

The current Republican meme is no sympathy for sick people. Only rich people get to be sick in this country. If poor people get sick, LET THEM DIE!!! She doesn't want to confuse the message.

How can you post something like this and let people think that its true? I see 2 videos, one of Mrs. Obama and the other of Anne Romney. The video of Mrs. Obama shows only her speech, BUT the video of Mrs. Romney starts off and random points through the speech has some guy that gives his own opinion and because America is so uninformed and forms opinions based on not facts BUT forms opinions based on altered opinionated facts from people on tv or mainstream media. I understand this is a Democratic website but goodness.

I had my browser on The Young Turks's review of Ann Romney's speech when I was posting this thread.
I thought I copied the CSPAN full edition of Ann's speech but I might have accidentally just highlighted it instead of copied.
Had such a hard time figuring out how to post videos on here that I might have got lost in the confusion.

Thanks for pointing that out & I will correct it immediately.
I wanted both speeches to stand on their own merit, jpw4309.
Michelle will still come out on top but I had no intention of using Cenk Uygur's take on Ann Romney's speech.
Am correcting it now.
