13. Three adults and fourteen children were murdered in Parkland, Florida

On February 14, 2018. Not by an immigrant, not by an illegal alien, but by a white male who was permitted by law to purchase an AR-15 rifle. Matt Gaetz would rather push the trmp gaslighting talking points that address true gun violence in this country.

The individual interrupting Gaetz was Manuel Oliver, who son, Juaquin ("Guac" to his friends) was one of the murdered students. Gaetz said that he didn't know who the man was. He was lying. He knows exactly who Manuel Oliver is.

My niece attends attends Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. She was a freshman there last February 14, when all Hell broke loose. She knew every one of the dead children. They were her friends. Her classmates. Her team mates on the lacrosse team. On that day, her life was turned upside down and inside out. An extremely intelligent young lady (She started taking advanced college-level classes last year.), caught between childhood and adulthood, she is also a very sensitive person. She will NEVER be the same girl she was the day before the shit hit the fan.

For months, she refused to sleep in her own room, and insisted on sleeping with my sister, with all the lights in the house on. She could not be alone for a minute. She either cried constantly or sat in a sort of catatonic state. She lost weight. She stopped doing everything she had enjoyed in her life from that moment on. The sound of police sirens, ambulances, helicopters sent her into uncontrollable hysterics. She was only 15.

All of the children were and most are still in therapy, my niece was no different. She had both one-on-one therapy and group with other kids from school. So many things triggered her. The family, having no experience with anything remotely like this, was apoplectic.

I was so angry, I could only rage. Since Columbine, we have all known that there are TOO MANY GODDAM GUNS in this country. And no politician has the balls to stand up and say so or, more importantly, follow it up with action. The NRA has weaponized the Second Amendment and they are nothing but whores for the gun manufacturers in this nation. There have been over 50 school shootings since Columbine and congress is in a state of paralysis over it.

That Matt Gaetz would sit in that committee and demand that The Wall be erected to stop the violence of immigration, citing garbage statistics, while ignoring the gun violence that exists in this country today is outrageous. I don't blame Manuel Oliver from interrupting him.

I think Gaetz should consider himself lucky that Manny didn't beat the shit out of him and skull fuck him.

I can't imagine the torment she had suffered and the trauma that she still endures. This miserable POS makes me so angry the way he minimizes the horror and destructiveness of domestic gun violence while he plays up barely existent problems caused by illegal aliens.
