that MJ had "slavering, adoring coverage" of Trump during the campaign.
They kicked him off his show as of December 2015, which was what lead to Trump's remarks about Mika's "blood dripping from her face" comments later.
As a bipartisan show, MJ had any candidate on, who wanted to come on. Their job was not to attack any candidate. They asked good questions of them all. They had pundits of both parties on (not the alt-right, as I recall). NO ONE took Trump's campaign that seriously.
However, when 2016 hit, MJ had had enough with the lies and the name calling, and stated they would no longer have Trump on.
Joe Scarborough NEVER supported Trump for President. When he decided who to support, he announced he was behind JEB BUSH. As you know, Trump kept attacking Jeb Bush (the one with all the donations).
So it's contrary to your statements that MJ would be adoring and slave-like to Jeb Bush's attacker.
Mike, a Democrat, was always voting for Hillary Clinton.
Here is the show that I think did it for Morning Joe...they banned Trump from their show not long after this. Pay attention to Joe's attitude and questions to Trump, and the questions by the pundits & Mika. They're trying to have a normal Q&A discussion w/Trump on his proposed Muslim ban. As you can see, the MJ people are the total opposite of adoration or slave-like attitude to Trump. December 8, 2015:
During 2016 the MJ show became highly critical of Trump and worked to unseat his popularity, focusing on his repeated lies and his name calling and erratic behavior. Being the #2 morning show in the country, watched by millions every day, that had a negative impact on Trump's popularity. Don't blame one show, much less this show, for the stupidity and blind adulation of Americans in voting for Trump.
