Hurd reminds me of George Herbert Waker Bush who always managed to sidestep responsibility and was, like Hurd, CIA.

2. I was surprised that Seth didn't take him to task on that one

So many actual Republicans we've seen have become "never Trumpers" and left the party. And, given the policies he said he supports, it makes no sense that Will Hurd supports Trump. Trump isn't really a Republican or has any policy convictions at all - he just supports whatever benefits Trump. And, if you remember, George HW Bush can't stand Trump, he voted for Hillary.

4. republicans can't have it both ways - they either support trumpft

or they allow investigations. THey can't protect him and claim he's not representitive of the republican party. All of trumpfts actions are fully in line with republican policy, republicans are just embarrased that trmpft doesn't hide the agenda better.
