I love how she's giving them the power of choice, and teaching them to be aware of their own needs. She is just the giver of THEIR choice. That is wonderful.

thing with her class. Another had the kids hugging a different classmate each day.

When I taught First Grade I discovered that all kids love to give hugs as much as get them, both boys and girls.

I really needed this today, was feeling so negatively about humanity, then seeing this just changed my attitude. There are truly good awesome people out there and I'm so happy this person is a teacher, because obviously she gets it and gives love the way the children can accept because they get to choose the format.
