Get these folks to the Senate before having to go to the Congress, so they can blow off the Congress' tough questions. lindsay will protect them in the Senate, then, like barr, they won't go in front of Congress. Substantial compliance, and all that.

this will turn out badly for Jr.?

We've recently discovered that the committee chair that issued the subpoena (Burr) has been informing the WH all along about the status of the Mueller investigation so why suppose he's being a straight shooter now?
