. . . it pains me to say this. But these folks are a lost cause. I have many family members who still live in central PA, and many of them voted for Trump. I can tell you this much: they have become completely emotionally invested in their decision to vote for Trump, to the point where they will happily vote against their own interests before they admit to themselves they made a mistake in 2016.

The party needs to stop chasing these folks -- it's a waste of time and resources -- and instead needs to focus on motivating younger voters to turn out at the polls!

People still supporting Trump now are never going to switch to Dem. I grew up in Western PA and fled to bluer pastures as soon as I turned 18.

PA is still diverse enough that we can increase turnout among our party's base to win the state's electoral votes.

Born and raised in Clinton County. Left home for college in 1979 and never went back (except to visit family). Have lived in NYC since college.

I can assure you that this poll holds true in my neck of the PA woods. Clear gaps between the educated and the not-so-much. Part of the problem is our local TV station is owned by Sinclair, and right-wing radio is common. Our newspaper, the Tribune Democrat, is commonly referred to as the Tribune Republican.

Sad. True.

Whenever someone equates and labels someone lacking a college degree as “uneducated” it reveals how stupid we really are.

These people are less formally-educated than someone with a college degree. It’s a gigantic sociological leap to label those people as uneducated.

So, let them frame the argument as “uneducated” versus “educated” voters and see if every single person labeled “uneducated” doesn’t stick together and become opposed to everything “educated”.

Have we learned nothing about human nature that even national organizations use the term “uneducated” to describe Americans with less than 16 years of formal education?
