People in the Republican caucus have said off the record that Mitch Mc Connell is going to allow a secret ballot when voting on impeachment in the Senate. Why? Because Mc Connell believes Trump has to go. Mc Connell has said that President Trump is a threat to Democracy and believes Trump is damaging America's standing in the world and diminishes the office of the President. One member close to Pence's staff has said that Pence is aiding Mc Connell in this endeavor.


I wonder how that (or something similar) would play?

Then make up a fictitious political organization to run similar ads. The groups could be 'Trump for Americans', 'Making America Stronger.', '21st Century Strong', etc

Sorry, but this is a critical situation. The only way now to fight against this is to run our own fake ads, making Facebook itself a joke. It is stupid beyond belief to just sit back and allow only Republicans to mislead the public. We must join in, not to mislead, but to highlight how absurd things can degenerate into once you open the floodgates to allow any and all fake news ads to poliferate.

I'd run fake ads like this showing Graham supporting the Green New Deal, but I'd also run ads that seem to be against Democrats, but make them so over-the-top as to be ridiculous and obvious satire. To weaken the other fake scandal memes that Putin and Trump's troll army will be littering FB with.

Not that he will lose too many subscribers, but his whole plan of making FB a platform for not only person to person contacting, but as a news gathering and information service. will turn into a circus which no one will take seriously anymore.
