Make those people get out and find a job! Jesus would be proud of how the Pugs are interpreting today's economy and job availability.

They don't want birth control or abortion, then want to cut off food to the poor who can't find a job?

I should sue my Sunday school teachers for leading me astray on the teachings of Jesus.

I do have to agree that his list does have merit.

HOWEVER, there are tens of millions of Americans who would love to be able to work. FDR's programs are designed as safety nets to help those who are UNABLE to feed, clothe and/or house themselves in times of need. How about those who are unable to work because of Mental Illnesses, cognitive and physical disabilities, they are children or a slew of other reasons?

Put this together with the above, the last two reasons are Santorum's notice he will gut/cut all safety net programs just like Paul and other Republican runners.

In ten years there will not be one or two million Americans homeless but increased in number 10 fold.

As to the list's merit, in a perfect world these are great suggestions. However, we live in a world where people do have choices and just because they do not follow the Catholic Church's draconian measures I feel we are compassionate enough not to allow people living and dying in the streets. Will it come to this? Eventually they will dismantle FDR's programs. Maybe by then they will not be needed. I hope so but am not holding my breath.
