Thom Hartmann is stating on his show now that a plausible explanation for what's going on is that red don was briefed early on and understood the threat but just wants to just let the virus rip through the US because it will "clear out" many of the old, weak, and POC likely to vote Dem, on the way to getting some herd immunity in order to facilitate "re-opening the economy" in time to stem the bleeding at his properties + prop up his re-election chances.
