(41,831 posts)Trump not so much....The media will win the war against Trump and they will still be around long after he is dead and gone.
Newest Reality
(12,712 posts)I am concerned that their underlying interests would lean towards what corporations and their advertises require or demand, as well as serving their own needs and agendas regarding the usual, capitalistic leanings toward profits, just as all corporations are bound to do legally.
While we expect a free press, that may not be the best representation of one if we are concerned about bias and intentions.
If the agenda is to "get those consumers out there and those workers back to work" and the reality is that that is just not prudent or safe at this point, then what would they lean towards in that respect?
I know that there is such a spectrum of independent media that people are getting more propaganda and bubble news, (you get news the news that fits your bias) yet, there are at least options available that demonstrate a stronger affiliation with the needs and struggles of the people in contrast to corporate news hegemony that largely represents only a handful of parent companies right now.

(41,831 posts)Because their goals are aligned but Trump is too stupid to get it? If that's the case, I agree.
