(2,689 posts)The first thing I noticed about this man is his eyes and the facial expression they punctuate.
He is clearly abusing the power and authority of his office. He just as clearly knows that his decision to appeal is political, and that it might well result in people getting sick and dying, people who otherwise would have voted from home and not contracted this disease. And he clearly doesn't care about that.
What he wants is to do everything he can to suppress the Democratic vote in Texas, to provide an edge for the GOP in Texas in the November election. He will work to ensure -- or to allow -- the closing of polling places in Democratic districts, guaranteeing that those who want to vote for the Democratic candidates will have to wait absurdly long hours in the few polling places that remain open -- and the prospects of the longs wait plus the evidence that many Wisconsin voters who were forced to wait in long lines did contract the virus will be enough to keep many potential Texas Democratic voters at home.

(11,514 posts)Yet, hes worried about virtually nonexistent voter fraud. One of the best people to protect Texans voting rights, and another corrupt, Republican sociopath.

(204,816 posts)I received my absentee voting application today here in New York for next month's primary. I didn't apply for it, the accompanying letter states that Governor Cuomo made sure that all New Yorkers received one, voting by mail during this pandemic stops the spread and keeps people safe - the application says on the back: STAY HOME, STAY HEALTHY. And it came with a postage paid return envelope.
