If CV hits 60-70 pct, as predicted by Chancellor Merkel, it will be longer than 3 years. The only thing that can mitigate it is a vaccine.

the virus would peter out and die.
Of course that's only if we do not take real steps to stop it sooner which could be done in 1 to 2 months max but it would take a truly strict quarantine.

Very informative. I was just thinking that my dad's family who immigrated here in the late 1890's all went through the 1918 flu pandemic, yet none of them perished from it. The children (including my grandmother and great aunts and uncles would have been from the ages of about 10 to 27 - my grandmother would have been 18, she was in the middle and they had 10 kids) and the parents would have been in their mid 40's by that time.

Not one of them died from it. I really wish one of them were still alive so that I could ask them about it and what it was like. I so regret not being able to learn about history from them. There is so much I would have wanted to ask, but by the time I became aware, it was too late. They had gone through both World Wars and so much more. I guess you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone. I just wasn't thinking about those things at a young age when they were alive. Such a loss.
