With a straight face, Faux News trots out their resident dog whistle, Mark "did you ever try to find a bruise on a nigger" Fuhrman, ostensibly to explain about police procedures.

Do you really want to REMIND US that you've got MARK FUHRMAN on your payroll at a time like THIS? I would think this is the ideal time to HIDE the bastard someplace, so that Fox New's reactionary dogwhistle racism isn't on full display.

We've all known about WINGNUT WELFARE for years. It's the right-wing's retirement plan for propaganda tools who have served their plutocrat masters. You flack for the plutocrats and you get rewarded on retirement. If you were reasonably dignified (Paul Wolfowitz, David Gratzer etc.) you're rewarded with a senior fellowship at the American Enterprise Institute. If you were slightly clownish (Jim DeMint) you're rewarded with a fellowship at the Heritage Foundation. If you were an embarrassing clown, a nutcase, or a CROOK, you're rewarded with a gig as a FUX NEWS PUNDIT (Oliver North, Sarah Palin, Seb Gorka, MARK FUHRMAN etc.).

So, it was no surprise that Fux News hired Mark Fuhrman 15 years ago to be their in-house pundit on 'police procedures.' Basically, they just bring him out every time they want to blow the racist dog whistle, when they've found a video clip of black people behaving badly. It's disgusting that Fox would pay this guy a salary, but not at all surprising.

But just how fucking TONE DEAF do you have to be to trot out MARK "did you ever try to find a bruise on a nigger" FUHRMAN to comment on a race riot?

Fox News has to be run out of business. It's been a blight on America long enough. And by that, I mean we have to have the biggest advertiser boycott in history against this tawdry propaganda machine, until Rupert Murdoch is paying the entire cost of running it out of his own pocket...and even THAT pernicious little shit decides it's not worth it anymore.

Trouble is, Fox-bots and RWNJ's alert that fucking corporation to such boycotts,they report the terrible siege from "the left's boycotts" their advertisers are subject to resulting in Faux-noise faithful buying up 200 my-pillows and more Smart-Mouth mouthwash than they can ever gargle.
To some laughable end, that's fine. Waste your dollars on your fixed incomes, idiots, smash your Keurigs and burn your Nike's, MAGA's. It's almost as bad as starving seniors sending their SSI checks to insanely rich televangelists only even more damaging to our democracy.
Some years back when I had a lot of time on my hands aiding during my parent's demise, however, I started emailing the corporate offices of the most prolific advertisers I'd see while my Alzheimer's-out dad kept switching the damn channel to Fox. It was ridiculous how he could not follow the narrative at all, but pick up on buzz words that would initiate angry, hateful rants at everyone.
Pointing out to those corporations whether they want their products associated with racism, xenophobia, etc. My own efforts produced nothing, but I couldn't stand the shit I kept overhearing, I was so angry that channel had turned my dad into a wildly argumentative, hateful, gravely mistaken curmudgeon all the way to his grave.

We need a return to the Fairness Doctrine that prevented the right-wing takeover of our airwaves and cable TV.
