that train left the station 50 years ago.

Eveything modern Republicans have done for decades has lead to Trump. His cultists were primed and ready.

Oddly enough, unlike many of his right-wing partisans, Goldwater became more rational and socially liberal with passing years.

Those business interests will endure, they will disperse to lobbying groups and reemerge in a skeleton GOP, or a Libertarian, or a Conservative, or a Patriot party. As will the Fundies that backed Goldwater to Reagan to Trump. Political interests, monied interests, Wall Street, will always find an economist to build their theories to fab and construct their money vacuum, and front men to strut their banner, and Talk Radio to carry their water. Think William F. Buckley, 1950s, Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, Ingraham. There are always mouths too loud to be ignored and plenty of money to juice the volume.

So Joe is just grandstanding here. Hoping for a return to power of his precious Republican Party. He is Say It Ain't So Joe.

He's always trying to project fucking Reagan's senile ass as if he were somebody one would want to emulate. We wouldn't be in the state we're in today if that senile and reckless fool hadn't been president followed by the Bush idiots. And yeah, Joe Scarborough just wants a return to that era. I've heard him lying through his teeth stating that the repigs "only wanted to count the votes in 2000." That is complete and total BULLSHIT. GWB STOLE the election and the Dems allowed it to happen. This is why I am sometimes down on the Dems, as I feel quite strongly that we do not fight hard enough, and we're too afraid of being nasty. . . I hear the excuse, "Oh we don't want to be like them", but then we fucking LOSE. I saw it in 1968, 1972, 1980, 1984, 1988, 2000, 2004, and 2016. . . . It's an ugly record, and we come out with the short end of the fucking stick.

I'm willing to let the Lincoln Project folks make ugly ads, but I absolutely do NOT trust those assholes, and I don't trust Joe Scarborough either.
