Obama/Biden had the right idea in 2008, when they wanted to re-write the tax code, taking the tax breaks and subsidies AWAY from the fossil fuel companies, and giving them instead to the green energy companies.

It's very simple: the cure is A GREEN NEW DEAL. The more fossil fuels you burn, the more CO2 gets put into the atmosphere. The more CO2 in the atmosphere, the hotter the Earth gets. The hotter the earth gets, the more forest fires you have in the hot season. More heatwaves, more fires... And if you substitute green, RENEWABLE energy...solar, wind, ocean tides...the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere will go down, and we'll go back to normal. How simple is THAT?

NEVER MIND panicking over the money. At the moment there are people making lots of money selling FOSSIL FUELS. And if we switch energy sources, there will be lots of people making money selling RENEWABLE ENERGY. It's just that the former group doesn't want to give up their position. They'd let the Earth burn up first. But Obama/Biden had the right idea in 2008 when they passed tax credits for green energy companies. If you re-write the tax code so that the taxpayers are no longer subsidizing fossil fuels (the cost of a barrel of oil is really about $200 when you factor in the cost of middle east wars!), and switch to subsidizing renewables...that power structure will FLIP!

Never mind the fires. What are people going to do when the ambient temperature in the central United States is 150F in the summer? Live underground in refrigerated hovels, like James Whitmore in an episode of The Twilight Zone? The ambient temperature is ALREADY 120F. We'll GET to 150F if we stay on the same path!

We know they will never reverse the tax code even if we had both houses and the Presidency. The pockets are deep and the new party will see them filled since the old party will no longer be of any use to the fossil fuel entities. Until CITIZENS UNITED is over turned there will be no changes. And with the retuglican party making it easier to funnel foreign monies into our political system the pockets have gotten even deeper. Hell even the DNC fights, and puts up candidates, the progressive movement. It's because they know that the monies are about to reverse flow and they want those empty pockets to start filling.

2. Remember when things like the worst wildfires in history

would have captured there attention of every human being in America? Has Trump been asked for his take on these hellish fires? Maybe he'll say they'll go away when the weather gets cooler, like a miracle, and then usher through a new benefit for the corporations that paved the way for them.
