Monologue: Herd MentalityBill recaps the news of the week, including the western wildfires and President Trump's latest attacks on TikTok, Joe Biden, and masks.
Michael Cohen on the "Right Amount of Punishment"
"Mea Culpa" podcast host and "Disloyal" author Michael Cohen joins Bill to discuss his time in prison after doing "bad things" as President Trump's personal attorney.
Bill Maher Reacts to Ruth Bader Ginsburg's Passing
Bill and his guests Trae Crowder, Tim Miller and Jane Fonda react in real time to news of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death.
New Rule: Oscars, No White
Bill questions the wisdom of the Academy Awards' new diversity requirements and its effect on artistic expression.
This "bootleg" version includes more with the in-studio panel, writer Tim Miller and "The Liberal Redneck," Trae Crowder - and the virtual interview with actress and activist Jane Fonda. It won't last, but this is all that's available, so far:

(51,567 posts)Jane Fonda could barely breathe. I think they all had tears in their eyes and then went...oh shit!

(204,779 posts)And all the guests that were present, as well as Bill himself, were noticeably shocked and stunned. Short of the actual election, this is the biggest news that we're facing, it was hard for them to take in, same as it's been for us...

(204,779 posts)From my perspective, this was the best guest lineup he's had for a long time - no one that we chose to "skip over," and they all were not only interesting, but pretty much all on the same page when it comes to the major issues we're facing right now.

(204,779 posts)And this week he had such good guests that none of them deserved to be left off. But at least they included all the present guests' reactions when they announced the news about Justice Ginsburg - since it obviously affected them all. As for Jane Fonda, did she actually say she's 82?! I agree, she sure looks amazing!

(204,779 posts)It won't last long, but it's all I could find.

(8,279 posts)half way through, it stopped and the first half repeated.
I would not recommend watching that one.
Thanks for posting as always very much appreciated!

(204,779 posts)And it looks complete, plus it got recs, so I'm hoping that this one works and lasts for awhile. It appears that those who record these are foreign so I have no idea why they'd be so interested...

(204,779 posts)So I have no idea why they bother since they never last long. I decided to post Bill Maher since I know people are interested, he often makes news, but the videos that used to be posted here were the "bootleg" variety and were usually gone by the next day. So I post the "official" videos, which last, but just lately they have only uploaded one guest - besides the monologue and New Rules - so I've been hard pressed to find the rest of the show.

(8,279 posts)The bootleg version cut off right as Jane Fonda came on. Missed the whole interview. dang it.

(204,779 posts)Especially interesting guests and not one that we felt like "skipping over," plus Bill was in a good mood because he's back in the studio with an actual audience, though small. And I have to admit that the Ruth Bader Ginsburg announcement got to me all over again, as it did with his guests. We sure are not alone...
