a friend that is a nurse practitioner and we agree young people don’t hear this message enough. They don’t watch the news or read the papers. All they have heard is it doesn’t make young people as sick. Well it does make some young people very sick and some die from it. Young people need to see this story and stories of young people that have died from it. Notice how many college students have gotten Covid 19 and are just told to quarantine. How many have ended up in the hospital. I am sure the colleges will never tell the public. Some will die and the college will keep it quiet. We will never know unless parents or friends speak out.
My friend that is a nurse has a friend who is a nurse whose daughter (she was 25) worked in a doctors office as a receptionist. The office took all the precautions, yet the daughter got it anyway. She quarantined at home with her parents. She died from a blood clot that Covid 19 caused. I know personally Covid 19 can cause blood clots because my father had the same experience when he had it. While he didn’t develop blood clots when he had Covid, his blood became very thick and they started him on a blood thinner right away. After being released from quarantine, Dad developed pneumonia as well. He has somewhat recovered, but he is weak as is my Mom who also had Covid. They have surprisingly survived considering their age-90’s. Their nursing home has had few patients get Covid, but have had several employees get it. I won’t bash the nursing home. They are doing their best and took great care of my parents.
