AP News, President Donald Trump declined to clearly condemn white supremacist groups and their role in violence during Tuesday's first presidential debate, at one point telling the neo-fascist group "Proud Boys" to "stand back and stand by." (Sept. 29).

thugs at the polls? Local LE will have its hands full. Poll-watching goons, unlicensed by the states? Litigating every state's elections results and electors? Civil War?

I don't know what he's accomplished by telegraphing his intentions. But that we can be thankful for.
