He explains complicated current issues in a way that are not only understandable, but also entertaining and impossibly humorous! I'm not surprised that he has a lock on the Emmys every year and he's competing with Colbert and Kimmel who also do a fantastic job!

8. You're absolutely right!

Both John Oliver and Stephen Colbert carry on the legacy of Jon Stewart's Daily Show. When John took over as host during Jon's hiatus, he did a remarkable job and it was assumed he'd become the next host. Instead, he has a much different show on HBO which seems to better suit his talents - he no longer has to cater to the daily news cycle, but can choose any topic that he believes is important and cover that in depth.
