policy would be the same as it was following Bush?

Bush was a disaster but he didn't destroy America's reputation with our allies and adversaries on the exponential order of magnitude the way trump has.

Obama was no inflexible automaton unaware of world geopolitics. Of course his foreign policies would've been different facing a world after trump than after Bush.

It will take a while but Biden will work to restore our good standing in the international community and it won't be with Obama's policies of 2008. It won't be immediate though as trump really fucked things up.

I can't speak for the guy in the video and his reasoning. When Obama was president he was the leader of the free world. Trump abdicated that. When Obama took over, we lead the NATO alliance. We've neglected if not outright agitated those relations.

Trump demonstrated we could not be trusted (after Tom Cotten and 46 other Republican Senator traitors told Iran as much).

Thanks to Trump and the GOP, we simply don't have the political infrastructure or trust in the world we once had. It has to be rebuilt.
