Rachel Maddow describes how Donald Trump in his lame duck period has not only abruptly removed the U.S from the decades old Open Skies Treaty that supplies the U.S. and its allies with surveillance data on Russian military activities, but has taken steps to dispose of the program's specialized planes and removed the option of replacing them. Aired on 11/24/2020.

Trump is continuing to commit treasonous acts on his way out the door. Isn’t there a way to stop this? Perhaps by doing what Trump does, filing a lawsuit to stop it from happening?

He's absolutely attempting to burn the place down, destroying the planes makes sure that the Biden administration can't just rejoin - and this also puts our allies in jeopardy! Rachel didn't say it was illegal, may just be another of those outrages that no one imagined that any POTUS would actually do!

This is not just spite. This is why we expect the next Congress and DOJ to act on Americans' behalf -- his intentional attempts to do harm to the nation.

Sometimes by his inaction, but more obviously in more ways than I can name, reversing safety regulations, undermining our allies in favor of our adversaries, appointing unqualified people or those with a personal agenda, not to mention ignoring and then dismissing a global pandemic that is sickening and killing hundreds of thousands of American citizens! You're right, all of this is obvious and intentional!

Trump owes Putin/Russia/Russian Mob/Deutsche Bank 300 to 400 million.

Trump owes China and Saudi Arabia @ least 600 to 700 million. These type
of debts were in the Steele Dossier (pee pee tapes) and so far nothing in that
dossier has been proven wrong. Trump is a Russian asset.

I just wish that he didn't have 2 months left to complete his agenda. And we had the chance to remove him back in January - I feel that those who refused to take the evidence presented during the impeachment hearings seriously are complicit. And I think how much harm could have been avoided if he'd been removed back then.

McConnell, Pence, Sessions, McCarthy, Nunes, and others all knew of Putin's rat fucking of our elections
in 2016 but didn't say shit.

I have no doubt that Putin was busy in 2020 but the vote was so overwhelming that it overcame his
actions.

IN 2018, EIGHT REPUBLICAN LAWMAKERS celebrated the Fourth of July in Moscow, Russia: Senator Richard C. Shelby of Alabama, who led the delegation, along with Senators Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, John Neely Kennedy of Louisiana, Steve Daines of Montana, North Dakota’s John Hoeven, Jerry Moran of Kansas, South Dakota’s John Thune, and Rep. Kay Granger of the 12th District of Texas. The ostensible reason for the trip was “engagement”

Just the latest of Trump's harmful actions, but this time it's a last minute attempt to shut down our allies' ability to protect themselves from Russia.

I used to be a navigator on the C-141, so it's painful to watch one being destroyed.

There's got to be some delay between the time the aircraft leaves Mildenhall, UK, where the aircraft are based and when they arrive a Davis-Monthan, AZ, and then from the time it arrives at D-M and when destruction begins. All that top secret electronics has to be removed and accounted for first. It depends on when the order was given. If it was given the day Fat Donnie yanked us out of the Clear Skies Treaty as a parting gift to Putin, the amount of paperwork necessary to get the aircraft to the boneyard might be enough to slow down the process long enough to for the new defense secretary to countermand Trump's orders. It would take a one sentence letter. I imagine there are lower level people in the Pentagon who could delay the paperwork until Biden is commander in chief.

I wonder what it would take to get Trump's private jet to the boneyard for disassembling.
