Eliminating the EC is the best solution, because we could add a national primary and run-off provisions. But this does make the EC irrelevant. Although I can see a Democratic state legislature passing only to have a Republican/Fascist revoke it because they can.

Until then the republican party, who lost the popular vote in the last 7 of 8 elections, will never change politically. The whole idea of politics is to appeal to the most people enough that they will pull the lever for you. Republicans just make it harder to vote and suppress the vote. Thats not politics, thats undermining politics.
