Frontline: American Insurrection

Over the last three years, FRONTLINE has collaborated with ProPublica to investigate the rise of extremism in America. In the aftermath of the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol, FRONTLINE, ProPublica and Berkeley Journalism’s Investigative Reporting Program team up to examine how far-right extremist groups have evolved in the wake of the deadly 2017 Charlottesville rally — and the threat they pose today.

1. Highly recommend, we watched it last night.

Very well done, all the way back to Charlottesville forward to Jan 6th. A journalist with or working with ProPublica crisscrossed the country. Mesmerizing and very chilling!

2. Thanks. I was just about to post this and am watching it right now.

It's a summary of at the abuse of power that foments the thuggery, racism and fear that radicalizes the right wing, and then Trump blames the rest for dividing the nation.

He's background scripted by Bannon, and while he demogogically drove people to fight each other -- a fearful Republican party with them -- he gutted government and stole our tax money.

A sweep of four years of evil.

You're right, they're pretty much the same; I think the one I posted is mostly about making the case about Trump's influence on the insurrection.

I don't know what the hangup is over at You Tube, but a lot of historical stuff has been limited, like the BBC series on WWI. It is completely inappropriate.
