The concept made no sense in the first place. Too much physics would need to be overthrown for it to have worked...

My understanding is that the alubierre proposal doesn't actually violate any laws of physics, at all.

The EM drive proposal involved somehow generating thrust from an asymmetric electromagnetic resonator.
