Awesome band!
X
D.J. Bonebrake, Exene Cevenka, Billy Zoom and the incomparable John Doe! Among others.
Did you know Ray Manzarek (R.I.P.) of the Doors was their producer?

Welcome to DU

His solo album Meet John Doe is a masterpiece. I still listen to it.

Absolutely. One of my favorites! A master work.
Been racking whats left of my brain trying to recall a show. Maybe you or someone can help? I either saw X or parts of the band with someone else a the the old Barry Fey venue Rainbow Music Hall in Denver. I remember John Doe, Billy Zoom and Exene. Had to be mid 80's. 86 t0 88 maybe. I saw X play L.A. once as well so I may be mixed up. Saw bunch of shows there and Red Rocks back in the day. U2 @ Red Rocks still stays #1 with me.

Cheers man!
