(21,063 posts)I would rather see the drones than the fireworks. I know I am a contrarian, but fireworks do so much collateral damage to our wildlife.

(18,903 posts)the lighting would take more than an AAA battery. They must be lithium, or NiCad. Lithium mining is doing untold environmental damage in the countries where it's mined.
Spain, Portugal and countries in S.A. are the usual sources we buy from.
I'm not saying fireworks are any better, but why do we have to have these pseudo-patriotic displays at all? None of them are environmentally friendly.

Even if they are specific to fireworks they can be put back into storage and reused over and over again.
