Related: About this forumHonor John Lewis, Get in Good Trouble - RepresentUs
One year gone, but the fight lives on. Now more than ever, we must honor John Lewis, protect the precious right to vote, and get in good trouble.
Civil rights leader and Rep. John Lewis died on year ago today on July 17, 2020. To honor John Lewis, get in good trouble. Over his decades of service, Congressman John Lewis called on people to get into good trouble as he fought for equal rights and better voting access for all. Championing voting rights for the Black community was a major issue for Lewis and he inspired many to fight for their right to vote alongside him. RIP John Lewis.

Turns out there were numerous gatherings for him today, but none in my part of the country

The best way to honor John Lewis's legacy is to pass the For the People Act.

We need to fight for his ideals since he's no longer here to fight for us...

I am fortunate enough to have heard John Lewis tell his preaching to chicken story four times in person. I have four or five copies of volume one and two of March signed by Congressman Lewis

What a wise and courageous man - and I still wish they'd rename that bridge after him, the least he deserves. He has a powerful legacy and we all can learn by his example.
