(145,130 posts)She counted 17 unmasked voter in the first hour. A week after the election she lost her sense of smell and sort of had a fever. She tested negative for Covid but we self isolated in my house and wore masks when were were out of our sleeping areas. I never showed any symptoms but my youngest had a major reaction to her second Moderna shot and ran a 104 degree fever until she took a cold bath and I got some ice packs. According to her doctor any what I read, my youngest may have had a mild case back after the election that caused her reaction to the vaccine to be so strong
I firmly believe that all persons should be vaccinated including persons who may have had COVID

(205,210 posts)Though I did hear that many had reactions after getting the Moderna vaccine as opposed to the Pfizer. I also got the Moderna since that was the first one available to me - had to drive several miles downstate to get an appointment. And I definitely had a reaction, felt pretty awful that night and the next day, chills and felt so woozy that I didn't want to get out of bed. But it was over by the day after and I knew what caused it. And I do know someone else who had a fever after getting the Moderna.
And I certainly agree with you, I cannot understand "vaccine hesitant." No matter how miserable I felt for a couple of days, it was nothing compared to getting Covid.
