The monthly for Medicare is now 144 a month. I wonder how much they will raise the monthly to add the three. I think most important is the dental which is costly without insurance. Eyes are cheap because you can get eyeglasses pretty cheap in most places. Hearing is expensive for hearing aides. I think you can get cheapy ones from Medicare but most seniors I know get the better pair for 5 grand.

Than I'm paying for private insurance now...

Sounds like a pretty good deal for me.

On edit: my private insurance does not include vision/dental.

Lens, can be around 2600 per eye. Add laser, special lens, special check after adds another 2000 per eye. Glad you think that is cheap.

But now they're going to use that when the voting rights bill comes up in September.

" We can work in a bipartisan manner for important bills, so you can't trash the filibuster for this bill", they'll say.

And then they'll go right back in lockstep against the voting rights bill, and dare the Democrats to trash the filibuster in an attempt to make the Democrats look unreasonable.

Too bad. The voting rights bill must be passed, or they'll take over the country and Democrats will never see a majority in Congress, or sit in the Oval Office again.

They're a rotten lot, those republicans. They're pushing hard for one party rule in this country. We cant allow that to happen under any circumstances.

For these services out of pocket, even if they are not wealthy.

How can they be opposed to Hearing, Vision, and Dental services? I had 2 fillings done to the tune of over $400 a month ago.

Drug costs are outrageous in the US, and it’s way past time the US negotiated prices for government programs instead of letting drug companies charge whatever they want. Big pharma lobbyists will be howling in every Republican ear in Congress to stop this!

$1000/month... wow! this is my first time being prescribed a medication and I was shocked! GoodRx helped a little but still too expensive

I have applied to the Pharmaceutical Company for assistance

with so many touting Medicare for all, my reply has been... great in theory, and helpful for many, but for me it (along with a BCBS Medigap policy +$200/month) doesn't cover anything that I need in the way of health care

With GoodRx, CVS got the price down to $750.

Then one day, a CVS employee told me to try my local Kroger's pharmacy. She told me that essentially Kroger's is giving away medications because they make so much money on their groceries. I was shocked when Kroger's gave me a quote for the prescription at $77. Can you believe it? From $1100 to only $77. I of course moved my prescriptions to Krogers.

And it just goes to show you what the mark up is on these drugs. Krogers is probably still making a small profit, or at least selling at cost.

I recently spent $4,500.00 for a bridge. I have spent thousands since I retired in 2010. A root canal is up to $1,100.00 last I checked. Just getting your teeth cleaned is $80.00. Get er done.

has died off, these long awaited add-ons to Medicare won’t crush the budget like it would have even a decade ago. Probably most of us 70+ will be off the roll call within this decade, so the millennial/gen-x’ers will be better able to pick up the tab out of their paycheck Medicare deduction.
