It's not a coincidence that he was placed as U.S. postmaster general by Donald Trump just months before the election and then proceeded to have working equipment destroyed. It's also not a coincidence that Trump voiced his opinion against mail-in ballets after he placed Dejoy in the position to signal to him to do something about it.
