Not just the richest county in Kansas, but one of the richest counties in the USA. That said, there are some very poor areas too, like where I grew up in Shawnee. Overland Park is the more upscale.

Kansas (in particular this area of Kansas) used to be rock solid country club republican... with "I like Ike" and Senator Bob Dole.

I moved away a long time ago... most people with IQs over 120 do...
