it going to be time for them to patiently listen to us? All I've seen is antivaxers yelling and screaming when challenged.

Even some of the sick and dying don't seem to get it. If only we'd had a coherent and swift national response from the beginning, it might have made a difference. Now, just in time for the more transmissible Delta variant, people would rather get sick and die than get a simple vaccination just like we've gotten since we were young kids.
