Related: About this forumFlorida Is Averaging 50 Children PER DAY Hospitalized With COVID - Ring of Fire
The state of Florida is witnessing a massive boom in the number of children being hospitalized with COVID, now averaging 50 cases per day. This is a more than 10% increase from the previous week, and coincides with schools reopening in the state. This is going to continue to get worse as Governor Ron DeSantis refuses to back down from his ban on mask mandates and his threats to districts that require masks. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

DeathSantis needs to generate customers for his largest donor

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis who has been criticized for opposing mask mandates and vaccine passports is now touting a Covid antibody treatment in which a top donor's company has invested millions of dollars.
DeSantis has been flying around the state promoting Regeneron, a monoclonal antibody treatment that was used on then-President Donald Trump after he tested positive for Covid. The governor first began talking about it as a treatment last year.
Citadel, a Chicago-based hedge fund, has $15.9 million in shares of Regeneron Pharmaceutical, according to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Citadel CEO Ken Griffin has donated $10.75 million to a political committee that supports DeSantis $5.75 million in 2018 and $5 million last April.

Here in New York, we've had a mask mandate for well over a year to enter any store or business - and it was enforced - until July, that is. The mask mandate was rescinded at the beginning of July, just in time for "tourist season" in these parts, not to mention the Delta variant. So now masks are only required for the unvaccinated, they're depending on "the honor system" (that's what's now printed on entrance signs!) and you can imagine how well that's working out, very few masks now, if any...
