The Real Socialism in America is Not What You Think Robert Reich

Another point is that places like Walmart pay low wages because they know their employees can get snap and other benefits. These benefits are supported by our tax dollars, our taxes make up the difference between the low-wage and a living wage. If the Walmart stockholders weren't making money, it would be one thing but every penny of our taxes paid to supplement low-income employees goes directly into the pocket of the stockholders.

Republicans hate government assistance and blame the workers, not the corporations.

Over and over the government has supported business that’s poorly run. Bailouts, supplements, etc. When Manufacturing companies are failing, that bothers me a lot less than rescuing banks and financial Institutions. The rethugs have the audacity to complain about entitlements, as they term them, to individuals like SS. SocialSecurity is an earned benefit. The RW as usual spins this as entitlements. And to make it even more offensive most of big business and rich people pay little taxes. I wonder if they believe their own BS or if when they are sitting around the country club bar the snigger about how stupid the average working class buys their spin.

My bet is that they "snigger about how stupid the average working class buys their spin."

Just like how I'm sure Trump actually hates his supporters. He just loves their money.

Their solution? Have their politician light it with THEIR $100.00 dollar bills.

is that for every dollar the employee puts in, the employer has to match it. "HELL NO we're not gonna help
our retired employees live comfortably, we don't care if they're poor & hungry" is what repugs are really
saying.

That's why he ignored the pandemic, there was no financial gain in saving lives for him.

He bought stock in Hydroxychloroquine and then promoted it making money off sick people.
He's got a case of the worst kind of sickness.

He never wanted or intended to do the job - and he didn't - but once in office he discovered the power it gave him opened up even more lucrative money-making opportunities.
