On one of the news broadcasts they said that they're in trouble if there are storm-related injuries since the hospitals are completely full of Covid patients...

(111,938 posts)3. I'm glad that my friend got out of there with his dog Saturday morning.
He usually has some funny posts on Facebook with his observations on life and his musings about the trip are good for a chuckle.
I know a few other people living around Baton Rouge and Lafayette, but I don't believe that they were in as precarious of a situation.

They're saying that the power is out likely for 72 hours with major flooding and devastating winds - and that it's worse than Katrina, which the whole country remembers.
