While we've been fighting off corporate insurgencies on the water, fuels, utilities and national parks and commons fronts, corporations on other fronts

1. sold the idea of "outsourcing" through their tools in the 3 branches, so that corporations now control the U.S. Military, healthcare, pharma, science, transportation in their drive to monopolize each economic sector of the nation;
2. drove toward eliminating humans in all economic sectors, roboticizing all aforementioned areas,
3. Amazoned-globalized American services in retail goods, pharma, food, internet cloud storage capacity, shipping & logistics infrastructure of USPS and UPS, voice-listening data collection through Alexa, digital financing, buying and selling of real estate, digital therapy.

Now we must see that Big Tech is transforming itself into a nation state that can replace governments; who employ human "tech ambassadors" to convince us to hand all data, value, human will & reason, and communitarianism to them, in return for the utility of "ease and comfort," possibly the right to life, liberty and privacy control itself.

Will we be data points in a global market economy or will we be human citizens?
Will humans control the corporation or the corporation control humans?
What will the worth and meaning of human life become?

This system is killing us.

Humans have Inherent Jurisdiction.

2. I taught the original years ago as part of my documentary segment of film studies, and

3. I've always thought corporate personhood would be an issue that the left & right could

coalesce around, but it turns out neither side is much interested or sees it as a threat. I had never heard of the concept of corporate personhood until I read a letter to the editor, back in the early 90s & when I looked into it, I thought, "This is just wrong."

Corporations since the mid-1800's had gained power through the courts, as Thom Hartmann traces in his book, Unequal Protection, in which he proves that no SCOTUS has ever explicitly put in writing that corporations are persons. Yes, they treat them as persons and talk about them that way, but they never write down corporate personhood as law.

More important, though, is that this Corporation sequel documents how corps have bypassed courts and government.

There will be no recourse for controlling corporations if they've stolen nations' wealth, stashed them in freeports and tax havens and then come swooping into climate disaster ravaged countries and say "our way or die."

We are in for it -- not just a war against a Fifth Column of traitors as humans, but a war where corporations are paying for them to bring down this majority run government from the inside, while from the outside, corporations media-propagandize their Big Lie "humanity" and Big Drama Lies about our "inflation," "pernicious government," and "replacement of races" crap... I'm sure there's more that needs listing.

Not even enough "likes" to land on the greatest page. People either don't see or understand the threat of corporate power, or they don't care. ???

I read that Hartmann book. It was pretty dry, but really eye-opening. He has another great book, called "We the People: A Call to Take Back America." It's a graphic book, comic book style, a primer on the Constitution & what having Constitutional rights means. A great book for kids & adults, alike. It goes into the whole corporate personhood issue & why it's so bad for humans. I fear it's a genie that's not going back in the bottle, though.

6. I hear you, Crispy. But these realities are hard to absorb, as history has taught us.

And maybe this situation is why you and I know that preparing ahead of what others notice will get us a shot at survival in the times ahead. Even our founders saw the huge dangers of corporations as the monarchial tool of domination over time.

Yes, Hartmann is dry. But truth is like that. I will definitely check out that "We the People" book and send it to my only grandchild. He'll need it, cuz his dad works for Morgan Stanley.

It is indeed good to see that we're together in seeing possible horrors ahead.

8. The Hartmann book points out how corporations are the only artificial entity to have

Constitutional rights. All others, civics groups, churches, labor unions, even governments, only have privileges that we grant them. The whole concept of corporate personhood needs to be challenged. But of course, not with the current Court.

Slavery is the fiction that people are property.
Corporate personhood is the fiction that corporations are people.

7. Holy crap. That Sierra article is exactly what my son has experienced through his non-profit

business in New Mexico. He's moving to another part of the county where he can get on the commission and stop these corps from telling humans what they can and can't do. He also lives close to the AZ border and can check out the Flagstaff people's story and lessons learned.
